The Banker, the British famous banking and finance magazine announced its 2007 “Bank of the Year Award” winners. In a presentation ceremony held in London on November 28, 2007 at the Dorchester Hotel, Jordan Kuwait Bank was named bank of the year for Jordan for the second consecutive year. The criteria for the assessment of the Bank of the Year Awards is built around detailed questionnaires provided by banks, The award for a single bank in each country is for the best overall performance in the previous period incorporating performance criteria, qualitative achievements and strategic initiatives. Judging team reflects not only on the latest results, growth rates and performance data over the previous period contained in the questionnaires but also analyses of all available material examining technology, acquisitions and key strategic developments. Chairman and CEO Abdel Karim Kabariti notes: “This second award by the Banker testifies to JKB’s tangible achievements and consistent growth pace. It also confirms the bank’s leading position in the Jordanian banking sector. We are delighted with the award and proudly present it to all our stakeholders with our deepest thanks and gratitude for their firm support, confidence and effective contribution to our success.”
